This distinguished program caters to bilingual learners and is a collaborative effort between the University of Leicester and the University of Strasbourg. Students begin their studies in Leicester for the initial two years, earning an LLB degree (awarded upon completing their Strasbourg studies). The subsequent two years take place at the Université de Strasbourg, where successful completion grants a Maîtrise de Droit with the 'Droits Français et Anglais' designation. Participants can specialize in private, corporate, or public European law. To ease the transition to Strasbourg, students undertake a tailored French law conversion module (non-examined) and may enroll in supplementary language courses through Languages at Leicester (French) or the English Language Teaching Unit (English). French university fees apply during the final two years in France. Graduates receive dual qualifying law degrees: an LLB and a Maîtrise, demonstrating proficiency in English, French, and European legal systems. The Maîtrise, comparable to the LLB, prepares students for French professional examinations. Located in Strasbourg—the heart of European integration—the program places students steps away from the Grande Île UNESCO World Heritage Site, the European Parliament, and the European Court of Human Rights.
