Our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Foundation Year programs are designed for aspiring students who want to pursue STEM disciplines like physics but lack conventional qualifications. These courses operate on the University of Leicester campus alongside regular degree programs, where you'll study with peers who narrowly missed direct entry into similar courses. The initial foundation year (year 0) prepares you to advance directly to year 1 of our BSc or MPhys Physics degrees upon successful completion. Our interdisciplinary faculty delivers this program, which places significant emphasis on cultivating crucial professional and personal competencies for academic success and future careers. Throughout your foundation year, you'll fully integrate into university life, accessing all campus resources including the Students' Union, academic facilities, residential options, and support services, with dedicated personal tutor guidance.
