This course leads you on an exploration of Earth's systems, tracing their evolution from ancient times to today. The program combines thoughtfully chosen modules in Physical Geography and Geology to help students grasp how Earth's systems operate across different spatial and temporal scales. You'll learn about current landscape dynamics, how modern observations help interpret geological records (and vice versa), and how fossils reveal patterns in Earth's biodiversity. The curriculum also examines pressing modern issues such as climate change, desert expansion, pollution, and water resource management. By examining both historical and contemporary perspectives, you'll gain insights to address critical environmental challenges our planet faces.
