Our STEM Foundation Year programs combine Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for students wanting to pursue STEM disciplines like mathematics without conventional entry qualifications. These courses take place at the University of Leicester alongside peers who narrowly missed admission to similar programs. The initial foundation year (year 0) prepares students to advance directly into year 1 of our BSc or MMath Mathematics degrees upon successful completion. Our interdisciplinary faculty provides instruction, with a strong focus on cultivating crucial professional and personal competencies for academic and career success. Foundation year students fully participate in university life, accessing all campus resources including the Students' Union, academic facilities, recreational amenities, housing options, and support services, with dedicated personal tutor guidance throughout.
