Our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Foundation Year programs are designed for aspiring students who want to pursue STEM disciplines like physics but lack conventional qualifications. These courses operate on the University of Leicester campus alongside regular degree programs, where you'll learn with peers who narrowly missed direct entry to similar courses. The initial foundation year (year 0) focuses on preparing you to advance directly into year 1 of our BSc Geography programs upon successful completion. This pathway guarantees your transition into the first year of your selected degree after finishing the Foundation Year. The curriculum places significant emphasis on cultivating crucial professional and interpersonal skills vital for academic success and future careers. Throughout your Foundation Year, you'll fully integrate into our university community, experiencing all aspects of campus life at Leicester. This includes joining the Students' Union, accessing our academic resources and recreational facilities, residing in university housing, and utilizing our comprehensive support services. Each student receives dedicated guidance from a personal tutor.
