Our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Foundation Year programs are designed for aspiring students who want to pursue STEM disciplines like physics but lack conventional qualifications. These courses take place at the University of Leicester alongside peers who narrowly missed direct entry into similar programs. The initial foundation year (year 0) prepares students to advance directly into year 1 of our BSc Geography degrees upon successful completion. This pathway guarantees progression to your selected degree program after finishing the Foundation Year. The curriculum focuses heavily on cultivating crucial professional and personal competencies that benefit both academic studies and future careers. As a Foundation Year student, you'll fully integrate into university life, accessing all campus amenities, joining the Students' Union, utilizing academic and recreational facilities, residing in university housing, and receiving comprehensive support services. Each student receives personalized guidance from a dedicated tutor.
