Leicester remains a pioneer in British political science, boasting global recognition for its leadership in economic science innovation. You'll gain insights from our Politics faculty while being among the inaugural students at our state-of-the-art £16 million Brookfield campus, the new headquarters for our Business School. Politics and Economics are inherently interconnected disciplines. Economics examines how external forces shape financial systems, with politics being one of the most significant influences. Conversely, economic performance frequently dominates political discussions. Throughout your degree, you'll develop skills to critically assess political theories and address challenges across various governance models. The curriculum includes fundamental microeconomic and macroeconomic principles, supplemented by essential mathematical and statistical methods for tackling economic issues. During your final year, you'll have the flexibility to select all your modules from an extensive range of politics and economics options, allowing you to specialize in areas that align with your academic passions.
