This program is ideal if you're passionate about concentrating solely on geography's social science aspects. You'll examine human, digital, and environmental geographies while also studying Sociology, Political Science, International Relations, and Modern Languages. This approach enables you to investigate urgent modern geographical issues such as migration, environmental policy, sustainability, and to analyze them through a broader interdisciplinary social science lens. The curriculum emphasizes analytical reasoning and cultivating both quantitative and qualitative research capabilities. We mentor students to adopt inventive yet rigorous research techniques and methodologies. Our teaching employs cutting-edge instructional and evaluation strategies while prompting students to contemplate Human Geographers' evolving societal role. While this program excludes physical geography, certain modules bridge both human and physical geography (for instance, Climate Change). If this program appeals to you but you'd prefer not to disregard physical geography entirely (perhaps wishing to keep future specialization options open), you might also explore the Geography BA program.
