In your Ancient History and Archaeology BA program, you'll explore past societies and cultures, focusing particularly on Ancient Greece, Rome, and the broader ancient civilizations of North Africa and the Near East. Through analyzing classical texts and archaeological artifacts, you'll gain insights into these ancient peoples and their enduring influences. The archaeology component emphasizes hands-on learning, offering fieldwork opportunities and excursions to develop expertise in identifying historical objects. Our specialized facilities feature cutting-edge equipment for scientific analysis, including advanced laboratories for human bone studies, environmental research, animal remains, and pottery analysis. Additionally, you can acquire practical experience by working with heritage groups, educational institutions, and our professional archaeology team (ULAS) through module placements in Years 2 and 3, as well as through our renowned internship program.

A/AS-levels: ABB. Two AS-levels can be considered in place of one A-level. General Studies or Critical Thinking accepted.
EPQ with A-levels: BBB + EPQ at grade B.
Access to HE Diploma: Pass Diploma with 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Distinction.
International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 30 points.
BTEC Nationals: Pass Diploma with DDM.
T Levels: Merit. All T Levels considered.
