Our study thoroughly analyzes the connection between societal dynamics and ecological challenges. What sets our approach apart is its emphasis on how different social science perspectives interpret the links between human and environmental concerns, contributing to a deeper comprehension of ecological problems and their remedies. We view environmental and social systems as profoundly interconnected yet not always harmonious. Consequently, our research provides thoughtful analyses of sustainability initiatives, highlighting the political and societal consequences of environmental policies. Our methodology draws from diverse disciplines including discourse analysis, political ecology, innovation research, post-colonial theory, governance critique, sustainability research, and development studies.
