The Mental Health Research theme centers on advancing secure, efficient, and therapeutic approaches to mental health care. Our work emphasizes service user engagement and collaborative development in research initiatives through our PPI framework. We maintain robust partnerships with the NHS, especially Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust, while also working alongside various academic institutions and nonprofit organizations. Our current research explores: Coercive and restrictive interventions, Safety considerations for both patients and professionals in mental health settings, Evidence-based therapeutic mental health interventions. Additionally, we mentor numerous PhD candidates whose studies align with our focus areas. We are committed to integrating our research findings into educational programs for nursing students, psychotherapy trainees, counseling students, and continuing education courses for practicing professionals.

You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (Hons) or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience.
