The Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development carries out rigorous research and knowledge dissemination initiatives to enhance public health and healthcare systems in developing nations and among disadvantaged migrant populations in wealthy nations. Our studies seek to deepen insights into health requirements and explore ways to optimize health systems at both societal and local levels, making them more productive and impactful in promoting wellbeing. Additionally, we design and evaluate solutions targeting identified gaps in healthcare infrastructure and services, as determined by policymakers, local communities, and empirical data. Our focus extends to refining research methodologies to ensure their applicability and impact in low-resource settings. We employ diverse analytical techniques - including statistical, observational, and blended approaches - to comprehensively assess health demands and evaluate health system performance across governance, administration, institutional, and grassroots tiers.
