Our doctoral program enables you to develop expertise in a specialized field while receiving comprehensive research training. You'll work closely with dedicated supervisors, meeting regularly throughout your studies. The Global History department brings together faculty and graduate students researching worldwide historical connections, developments, and impacts. Our interdisciplinary research community includes specialists with regional knowledge, transnational perspectives, and thematic focuses, covering areas such as European, African, American, Middle Eastern, and Asian studies, along with research on border regions, decolonization, diasporas, migration, and intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, and class.
