Our PhD programs offer postgraduate students top-tier training and research opportunities to prepare them for demanding post-doctoral careers in academia or industry. The School of Dentistry's PhD training focuses on developing essential skills to identify research challenges, test hypotheses, and discover solutions. This program emphasizes independent experimental design, critical data analysis, and effective communication of results.

Dental education research is expanding strategically, with numerous educational innovations emerging from the School of Dentistry. Several postgraduate students have contributed to this work through their PhD studies. We also engage undergraduate students in research projects (with proper consent and ethical approval). One current PhD candidate is examining admission factors for the Dental Surgery program and comparing them with undergraduate performance (including current students and recent graduates) to identify potential correlations.
