Our research focuses on addressing complex equations that model significant real-world challenges. Alongside foundational work in applied mathematics, our department engages in diverse interdisciplinary research. We maintain strong collaborations across multiple fields such as pure mathematics, statistics, astronomy, biology, computer science, geosciences, engineering, environmental studies, food science, and physics within the University, as well as partnerships with industrial sectors.

Qualification Requirements
You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience.
IELTS band score 6.0 - with not less than 5.5 in any skill area or Internet based TOEFL 80 (with not less than 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 19 in writing).
