Fluids play a vital role in life and appear in numerous engineering and scientific contexts, often presenting intriguing theoretical and applied challenges. Our investigations address real-world issues from industrial, scientific, and social perspectives, examining phenomena across various scales - from microscopic inkjet droplets to massive wind turbines. We employ an integrated methodology that blends experimental, computational, and theoretical approaches to gain comprehensive insights and develop predictive models for system enhancement. Beyond its inherent intellectual appeal, fluid mechanics serves as a crucial interdisciplinary science. We maintain extensive collaborations with industry partners to refine processes and with academic teams in diverse fields where fluid dynamics knowledge advances fundamental research.

Qualification Requirements

You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience. The minimum University language requirement is IELTS band score 6.0 - with not less than 5.5 in any skill area or Internet based TOEFL 87 (with not less than 20 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing).
