This one-year program focuses entirely on independent research, where you'll conduct a project and document your findings in a thesis. Like a PhD, you'll work with a supervisor specializing in your selected discipline. The MSc by Research enhances both theoretical and hands-on abilities, serving as an ideal pathway if you want to delve deeper into your subject without committing to doctoral studies. Graduates frequently progress to PhD programs or industry roles.

The architecture of biological molecules and their assemblies forms the foundation of most life processes. Consequently, structural biology plays a vital role in contemporary biological research. Our goal is to decipher the configurations of biomolecules including proteins, DNA, sugars, and fats, along with their molecular assemblies. This field also investigates molecular dynamics and integrates concepts from molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, computational modeling, and simulations.
