Pursuing a postgraduate research degree demands commitment and enthusiasm for your chosen field. The journey is demanding but immensely fulfilling. As a PhD candidate, you'll conduct specialized research under the guidance of a principal supervisor and additional co-supervisors.
Our wireless communications research team explores cutting-edge technologies for next-generation systems. Key areas include massive MIMO, millimeter wave communications, heterogeneous networks, device-to-device (D2D) connections, drone-assisted networks, and smart reflective surfaces (IRS) for wireless transmission. The group additionally examines wireless communication obstacles in high-speed rail environments.

Qualification Requirements
You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience.
The minimum University language requirement is IELTS band score 6.0 - with not less than 5.5 in any skill area or Internet based TOEFL 87 (with not less than 20 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing).
