Cardiac arrhythmias arise from disrupted electrical signals in the heart, impairing its pumping ability. Risk factors include aging, conditions like heart failure, and rigorous athletic training. Our research examines arrhythmia causes, preventive measures, and effective treatment methods. We employ diverse techniques across multiple scales, from analyzing gene/protein expression patterns to advanced cardiac imaging using optical and magnetic resonance technologies. These experimental findings are combined with computational modeling to comprehensively understand cardiac function in both healthy and diseased states.
