An MSc or MA by Research offers a self-directed approach to learning, where your evaluation and degree are determined by your research work. Pursuing an MA or MSc by Research presents a rewarding yet demanding chance to enhance your analytical abilities and deepen your scholarly focus in a specific area. This research-based Master's program spans 12 months (or 24 months part-time), differing from traditional taught Master's courses as it centers on designing, executing, and documenting a research initiative. You'll receive guidance from two faculty supervisors and have the opportunity to publish your findings upon completion.
Our investigations focus on atmospheric chemistry across the troposphere and stratosphere, examining local, regional, and worldwide air pollution patterns, ozone layer depletion, and climate-chemistry relationships. Our work encompasses laboratory experiments, ground-based and airborne observations, data interpretation, and computational simulations. We participate in numerous national and international field studies while pioneering sophisticated models for chemical processes, cloud formations, aerosol dynamics, and their impacts on rainfall, air quality, and climate systems. Our research scope additionally includes modeling mesospheric chemical processes.
