Pursuing a postgraduate research degree requires strong dedication and enthusiasm for your chosen field. The journey is demanding but immensely fulfilling. As a doctoral candidate, you'll conduct specialized research under the guidance of a principal supervisor and additional co-supervisors.
Thermal management and fluid dynamics play crucial roles across numerous industries, from industrial heating systems and data center cooling to precise temperature regulation in PCR devices. Our work employs Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods alongside experimental verification to analyze and enhance these systems. Given the computational intensity of CFD, we particularly focus on integrating it with metamodel optimization approaches for more efficient thermal and fluid flow solutions. Our research has led to enhanced performance and energy efficiency in fuel filtration, emergency vehicles, drilling tools, and mixing systems. Current investigations focus on circulation control for wind turbine efficiency, vehicle thermal systems, pipeline friction reduction, and cooling solutions for electronic components.
