The Master of Philosophy degree is granted upon completion of a substantial thesis (typically 200 pages or 60,000 words). Examiners must confirm that your work demonstrates the ability to conduct research and produce scholarly work of publication standard that could withstand peer evaluation. This level of achievement normally requires two to three years of full-time study (or four to six years for part-time candidates). Additionally, you must show comprehensive understanding of your research field. This program is ideal for students with two years of research funding.
Research degrees are designed to advance knowledge in specific academic disciplines. Throughout your studies, you'll receive guidance from a principal supervisor and potentially additional co-supervisors, all specialists in your field. You may collaborate as part of a research team alongside fellow students and faculty members.
