The Translation and Clinical Research specialization concentrates on developing an oral/dental research pipeline that includes: Systematic reviews to pinpoint clinical knowledge deficiencies, Preliminary feasibility studies, Pilot projects, Large-scale efficacy trials frequently combined with mechanistic analysis to deepen understanding of treatment mechanisms, and Electronic health record analysis. Our clinical studies aim to enhance oral health and introduce novel treatments into NHS practice. We maintain a diverse research portfolio covering dental caries, tooth erosion, pediatric dentistry, pain control, prosthetic dentistry, and connections between gum disease and overall health.
