The Master of Philosophy degree is granted upon completion of a substantial thesis (typically 200 pages or 60,000 words). Examiners must confirm that your work demonstrates research and scholarly capabilities meeting publishable standards that would pass peer review, achievable within two to three years of full-time study (or four to six years part-time). Additionally, you must show comprehensive understanding of your research field. This program is ideal for students with two years of research funding.
Our research examines transportation and mobility through social and political science lenses, striving to develop efficient, equitable, and eco-friendly mobility solutions at local, national, and international levels. Mobility systems fundamentally influence socioeconomic opportunities while significantly impacting environmental and public health through factors like emissions, urban pollution, and land use. While mobility affects all individuals, its advantages and challenges are unevenly distributed. The organization and regulation of mobility systems at various scales determine how these social, health, economic, and environmental impacts are experienced across populations.
