The Master of Philosophy degree is granted upon completion of a substantial thesis (typically 200 pages or 60,000 words). Examiners must confirm your ability to conduct research and/or scholarship at a publishable standard that meets peer-review criteria, achievable within two to three years of full-time study (or four to six years part-time). Additionally, you must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in your research field. This program is ideal for candidates with two years of research funding.
Our research focuses on atmospheric composition across tropospheric and stratospheric layers, examining local to global pollution patterns, ozone layer depletion, and climate-composition relationships. Our work encompasses laboratory experiments, ground-based and airborne measurements, data interpretation, and computational modeling. We actively participate in national and international field studies while pioneering sophisticated models for chemical processes, cloud systems, aerosol dynamics, and their impacts on rainfall, air composition, and climate patterns. Our investigations also reach into mesospheric chemistry modeling.
