The Masters by Research program enables students to conduct in-depth independent research at the Masters level under the mentorship of IDEA Centre faculty. You'll develop and execute a self-directed research project, supported by two academic supervisors, culminating in a thesis of approximately 30,000 words.
A primary research focus at our center examines the ethical dimensions of persuasion, leadership, and influence. Across both corporate and public spheres, ethical considerations surrounding how individuals shape beliefs, voting patterns, decisions, and behaviors represent critical contemporary issues. Our flagship initiative, Leading Minds, aims to establish a robust ethical framework for persuasive leadership. While concentrating primarily on organizational influence and leadership, this interdisciplinary project incorporates insights from diverse fields including classical and political philosophy, organizational theory, psychology, and business leadership studies.
