Spanish has been offered as a degree program at Leeds since 1918, with Portuguese added in the 1950s, establishing us among the UK's most experienced providers. We blend this rich scholarly heritage with innovative approaches to Hispanic and Lusophone Studies, supporting diverse teaching and research focuses across Spain, Portugal, Latin America, and Spanish/Portuguese-speaking African regions. Our close collaboration with the Cervantes Institute and Camões Institute - the on-campus cultural centers of Spain and Portugal respectively - is a point of pride. Qualification Requirements
You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject.
Applicants to research degree programmes should normally have at least a first class or an upper second class bachelors honours degree in an appropriate discipline
IELTS score is an overall band score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any component.
TOEFL iBT score is no less than 92, with at least 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 22 in Writing.
