This rigorous MA Fine Art program is designed to establish the foundation for your future artistic career, curatorial pursuits, or advanced academic studies, enabling you to create a portfolio within studio environments, creative production, public engagement, and audience interaction. We welcome applications from artists currently working in, or aspiring to work within: studio-based creation, community-focused projects, collaborative endeavors, artist-curator roles, art criticism, or arts education. At Leeds, Fine Art students learn from active artists, writers, and scholars while benefiting from Yorkshire's world-class cultural institutions like the Henry Moore Institute, The Hepworth Wakefield, Leeds Art Gallery, the National Science and Media Museum, The Tetley, and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
You'll refine your artistic approach while developing critical writing skills about artistic contexts and your own creative outcomes. During this postgraduate program, you'll acquire expertise in curating exhibitions and events, conducting artistic research, interpreting creative works, and enhancing your cultural and visual literacy. These competencies prove invaluable across diverse professional paths in the arts sector.
