The MA Advertising and Design program equips students with the skills needed for careers in advertising and related communication design fields. Built on an interdisciplinary foundation, the curriculum rests on three core components: Design, Research, and Business. The Design component treats communication campaigns as a design challenge, offering both a structured development process and expertise in specialized areas like graphic, typographic, and digital design. Through partnership with Leeds University Business School - ranked among the world's top 100 business schools - the Business component delivers crucial knowledge in consumer behavior and media planning, empowering students to craft impactful communication strategies grounded in market analysis and brand positioning. The Research component develops skills valuable in both academic and professional settings, teaching students to employ diverse research methodologies that inform and assess their creative work through quantitative and qualitative data. Students may further enhance these research capabilities through dissertation or academic paper projects.
