Our work centers on gathering and analyzing research data through both fieldwork and laboratory studies, employing firsthand data to drive scientific innovation and create societal change. The UCLan Research Centre for Field Archaeology and Forensic Taphonomy collaborates with international researchers, specializing in primary data acquisition and examination. We partner with renowned institutions worldwide, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, Max Planck Institute, Australian National University, Amsterdam's ARISTA human taphonomic facility, Historic England, the Museum of London, and the UK Ministry of Defence.
Annual archaeological investigations occur globally, with significant activity in England, Wales, Scotland, the United States, and South Africa, engaging numerous participants in projects across Europe, Australia, and North America.
