Biomedical sciences covers a range of fields such as pathology, medical microbiology, clinical biochemistry, along with hematology and transfusion sciences. To tackle these areas, various applied and translational sciences have developed. Examples include diagnostic screening through biospectroscopy or innovative treatments using nanomedicine, particularly in critical fields like neurodegeneration, medical microbiology, and cancer research. At UCLan, multiple research teams are actively pushing boundaries in these domains. Our primary goal is to transform laboratory discoveries into practical clinical and healthcare solutions.
