Mechanical Engineering focuses on creating and developing moving objects and systems. Students learn to apply core engineering concepts such as mechanics, material science, thermo-fluid dynamics, and CAD tools to analyze and construct mechanical solutions. Our program blends classic mechanical engineering coursework with our proven approach to delivering comprehensive professional training. This equips graduates for success across various industries. The curriculum also emphasizes understanding client requirements and crafting business strategies. Students may choose to complete a one-year industry placement between their second and third academic years. The program draws insights from our Advanced Digital Manufacturing Technology (ADMT) research facility and the Jost Institute of Tribotechnology. Graduates can pursue careers in diverse fields including aerospace, automotive, biotechnology, computer electronics, energy systems, defense, and research sectors.
