The world of sports is filled with compelling narratives of human triumph, heartbreak, and emotion. Learn to capture these stories through the UK's top sports journalism program (ranked #1 in the 2020 National Student Survey). This immersive, skills-based course is designed to launch your dream career. Through strong industry partnerships, first-year students publish on professional platforms like Prost International and gain access to major football matches across Premier League, Women's Super League, and Football League competitions. Second-year students enjoy an all-expenses-paid two-week placement at Chelsea FC. Our third-year partnership with Planet Sport provides direct pathways to employment, with graduates securing roles covering premier sporting events including football, Formula 1, and golf. We maintain close ties with media giant Reach PLC, football clubs including Preston, Burnley, Bolton and Fleetwood, and other leading sports organizations to deliver unparalleled student opportunities. At its core, journalism is storytelling - and we train you across all media formats from traditional print to digital video, podcasts to social media content. Beyond developing essential reporting skills, you'll examine sports' evolution into a global billion-dollar industry.
Our sandwich degrees combine rigorous academics with professional placements, ensuring you graduate with both qualifications and real-world experience.
