The School of Computing invites prospective students to apply for our Computer Science research programs.
Your research must generate novel insights within your selected discipline. You'll collaborate closely with your primary supervisor, a faculty member who serves as your main academic guide. For interdisciplinary research topics, you may be assigned additional supervisors. Beyond regular supervision, a three-member academic panel will offer structured advice and mentorship throughout your studies.
Research support services
Our doctoral candidates benefit from a comprehensive support system. First-year students participate in weekly workshops designed to develop core research competencies, including literature review techniques, academic writing and publishing strategies, and conference presentation skills. Optional professional development sessions cover essential workplace abilities such as effective communication, productivity management, and collaborative teamwork.
You'll integrate into our vibrant research communities, where you can refine concepts through peer feedback and situate your work within wider academic discussions.
Our department organizes regular guest lectures and research group meetings that encourage student involvement. The annual postgraduate conference provides dual opportunities: presenting your findings and gaining hands-on experience in academic event coordination.
