The financial sector is being transformed by fintech - encompassing everything from digital currencies and programming to AI, mobile banking, and investment platforms. In essence, fintech represents the technological infrastructure powering financial transactions. Career opportunities in this domain range from cybersecurity specialists and AI/ML engineers to developers creating financial applications and software. Our newly launched MSc FinTech program, crafted through collaboration between industry veterans and academic authorities, equips graduates with robust financial knowledge alongside cutting-edge technological expertise crucial for the industry. Additionally, our Bloomberg Finance Lab provides hands-on experience with authentic business data.
A 12-month professional placement option enables you to acquire practical experience either in the UK or internationally during your Master's studies. While students secure their own placements, our School provides guidance through specialized placement support services. Choosing this placement pathway extends your program duration to a maximum of two years.

Qualification Requirements
A minimum of a second-class UK degree, or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification in areas such as the sciences, engineering, computing, maths, finance and/or business. Quants/programming based background is required.
All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications.
IELTS Academic- 6.0 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component)
TOEFL iBT- 85 overall (with a minimum of 18 in R, 17 in W&L, 20 in S)
