Program SummaryThis Master of Science program at Kent immerses students in diverse social science research methodologies within an interdisciplinary framework at an advanced academic level.
The curriculum emphasizes hands-on training in gathering data, analyzing and interpreting information, and effectively communicating research outcomes, guiding students through the complete research cycle from initial design to generating new insights.Additionally, participants will expand their comprehension of philosophical foundations, theoretical frameworks, and ethical considerations in research while engaging with contemporary discussions about the interplay between theory and practice, as well as research's role in shaping policies.Modular OptionsSelect components of this MSc program are available as individual modules for standalone study. These offer an introductory experience in Social Research Methods, with completed credits being applicable toward future certification (Postgraduate Certificate or full MSc) should students choose to continue their academic journey.
A good honours degree in a relevant subject. In certain circumstances, the School will consider applicants who have not followed a conventional education path and these cases are assessed individually. All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications. IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. PTE Academic 67 with a minimum of 59 in each sub-test. A degree from the UK. A degree from a Majority English Speaking Country.
