Our chemistry department maintains some of the UK's most extensive research partnerships and industrial collaborations, working with local, national, and international chemical firms including AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson-Matthey, Pfizer, Reckitt-Benckiser, Schlumberger, and Unilever. Our research leads to commercial applications through patents, licensing agreements, and spin-off ventures like Chemtrix, Kingston Chemicals, Polar OLED, and Sporomex. The Institute for Chemistry in Industry runs a well-established materials analysis consultancy serving manufacturing sectors in the Hull and Humber Region and their supply networks.
