You'll discover techniques for producing textiles as an eco-friendly material for fashion and interior design applications through surface embellishment, fabric alteration, and textile assembly. You'll also gain hands-on experience with knitting, weaving, printing, and embroidery tools in our specialized facilities.
Instruction comes from tutors with real-world expertise in textile design, surface decoration, and fabric crafts. You'll collaborate with fashion designers, artists, and photographers in our state-of-the-art Barbara Hepworth building, a £30 million facility designed for creative disciplines, developing professional skills that prepare you for industry success upon completing your studies.
