Social workers assist individuals in achieving greater success within their communities by guiding them toward solutions for their challenges. To be effective, social workers must collaborate not just with clients but also with their families, friends, and other organizations such as law enforcement, healthcare providers, and educational institutions. Our two-year MSc program equips students with the essential knowledge and skills to excel in social work. The first year focuses on foundational topics, including the purpose and impact of social work, human development, and relevant policies and laws. Students also gain expertise in methods and strategies for engaging with diverse populations.
Social work encompasses a broad spectrum of environments and client groups, from adoption services to palliative care, and from medical facilities to correctional institutions. Notably, a former UK Prime Minister once worked as both a social worker and an educator in the field.
