The MSc in Manufacturing Management offers a comprehensive and structured approach to the discipline, preparing students with the essential insights and expertise to excel as manufacturing management specialists. This program blends theoretical foundations, practical applications, and hands-on involvement, concentrating on key domains such as: manufacturing-focused product design and supply chain integration, eco-friendly materials, practical lean process development, intelligent manufacturing systems and asset optimization, logistics and operational planning, purchasing and stock control, along with ongoing enhancement and quality assurance. Students engage in design-centric activities involving evaluation and integration to create practical solutions for technical and business challenges. The curriculum also emphasizes examining current knowledge frameworks to assess their practical value in improving both product outcomes and organizational effectiveness.
An honours degree (at least 2:2 or above) in an engineering discipline or an appropriate science or any other related discipline where the subject content does not overlap with this programme to any substantial extent.
International qualifications will be considered on the basis of their equivalence to UK qualifications, typically guided by a resource such as the National Academic Recognition Information centre (NARIC). Candidates will be required to demonstrate a suitable level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
