You'll enroll in a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) accredited program, enabling you to earn the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification as you approach graduation. Throughout your studies, you'll explore the three core areas of sport science: physiology (including nutrition), biomechanics, and psychology. The curriculum covers human anatomy, athletic performance, and strength training techniques. You'll utilize performance laboratories to master techniques for evaluating and enhancing sports performance. Additionally, you'll acquire essential insights into how physical activity contributes to better health and wellness.
Graduates pursue diverse career paths, showcasing the program's interdisciplinary focus. Alumni have worked with elite athletes, professional sports organizations, fitness centers, and the National Health Service. Others have entered fields like leisure, military, fire services, or coaching. Many continue their education through Master's programs, doctoral studies, or teacher training certifications.
