The BSc (Hons) Live Sound, Lighting and Performance degree stands among five dynamic undergraduate music programs. This comprehensive course explores core sound concepts including acoustics, audio capture, reinforcement systems, studio design, signal theory, processing techniques, synthesis methods, audio electronics, network audio solutions, multichannel setups, and storage technologies. After mastering these foundations, you'll specialize in venue audio systems - ranging from concert venues to outdoor festivals and all performance spaces in between.
Beyond audio system operation and design, the curriculum extends to video production, lighting design, augmented reality, and virtual reality applications within live events and broadcasting contexts.
Throughout the program, you'll engage in extensive cross-disciplinary collaboration within the School of Creative Arts, working alongside Music Production, Audio Engineering, and Songwriting students. These collaborative projects mirror real-world industry practices.
