Students in the Interior Architecture and Design program have engaged in real-world collaborations with various industry partners such as Letchworth Garden City's urban renewal initiative, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant, Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange, The Forum Hertfordshire, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, and St Albans Museums. This program emphasizes adaptive reuse of structures and reimagining living environments. Our teaching philosophy embraces a dynamic, integrated methodology that views design as an iterative rather than step-by-step process (moving beyond traditional research-then-design sequences).
You'll develop versatile abilities to meet evolving professional demands. The program facilitates hands-on industry experience through live briefs and internships. Graduates will possess the professional competencies needed for diverse careers in interior architecture and design, enabling creative contributions across multiple roles - both independently and within interdisciplinary design teams.
