Pursue our accredited three-year civil engineering program designed for impactful careers in a field that molds communities and transforms landscapes. Civil engineers create living spaces, transportation networks, environmental solutions, and safeguards against natural hazards. This civil engineering curriculum covers diverse subjects including construction management, geological engineering, fluid mechanics, and geotechnical studies. Students can also explore specialized areas like hydraulic engineering, structural bridge design, and reinforced concrete construction. Graduates find opportunities with engineering consultancies, construction firms, and government agencies at all levels. Our program holds accreditation from the Joint Board of Moderators, fulfilling part of the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council.

Qualification Requirements

One of the following:
A Level: 120 UCAS Tariff points including Mathematics at grade C and one of either Physics or Further Mathematics, at grade C.
BTEC National: 112 UCAS Tariff points from the Extended Diploma in an Engineering subject including both Mathematics units at Merit.
A Level and BTEC National: 120 UCAS Tariff points from the Diploma/Extended Certificate in an Engineering subject and A Level Mathematics at Grade C if Mathematics units for the BTEC National are not included.
A Level and BTEC National: 120 UCAS Tariff points from the Diploma/Extended Certificate in Applied Science and A Level Mathematics at Grade C.
International Baccalaureate: 26 points overall including Higher Level Mathematics at grade 5 and Higher Level Physics at grade 5.
Access to Higher Education Diploma: 120 UCAS Tariff points from an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Engineering/Engineering Science.
Equivalent qualifications may be considered.
In addition, you will need: GCSE Mathematics, GCSE English Language/Literature and GCSE Science all at grade 4/C. Equivalent qualifications may be considered.
