Our master's-level ITT course provides diverse exposure to secondary school environments. You'll experience various socio-economic contexts and work with students of differing capabilities. A dedicated subject mentor will guide your development, while university tutors will help you implement research-based teaching methods. Our tailored Subject Specialist Studies (SSS) curriculum strengthens your grasp of the Mathematics national curriculum and enhances your classroom performance during placements.
With a current national demand for math educators (1), our PGCE M (Secondary 11-18) Mathematics with QTS aligns with the Department for Education's Teachers' Standards and Core Content Framework, opening doors to a fulfilling teaching career. The program guarantees at least 120 days of practical school experience to develop your teaching skills. Upon successful completion, you'll be eligible for QTS recommendation.
