Program overviewPursue a Masters by Research or PhD in Biosciences to conduct innovative scientific investigations within a nurturing academic setting. You can focus on diverse specializations ranging from genomics, immunology, gene therapy, and cancer biology to palaeoecology, plant ecology, animal behavior, parasitology, population dynamics, ecosystem studies, ecological monitoring, and wildlife conservation.Our facilities include modern bioscience laboratories with biomedical specialization, microscopy and zoology labs, along with dedicated research spaces for palaeoecology and animal behavior studies. We maintain strong fieldwork capabilities across the UK and internationally, with active collaborations in remote UK islands, South African savannahs, Zimbabwe, the Peruvian Amazon, and Brazil.Learning approachStudents can choose full-time or part-time study to balance work or personal commitments. We provide tailored support including lab access, training programs, fieldwork guidance, equipment loans, and specialized software. Research students benefit from shared office spaces, library resources, and IT support.
