As of June 2021, policing in England and Wales transitioned to a graduate-level profession, making a relevant degree mandatory for aspiring police officers. Our program, accredited by the College of Policing, was the first pre-join degree approved in the South West, offering a direct pathway into the field while meeting professional standards. Three graduating classes have already completed their studies, with numerous alumni now serving as operational officers across various forces in England and Wales. Developed in collaboration with Gloucestershire Constabulary, the degree provides ample hands-on learning opportunities and support throughout your studies. Those with a passion for justice, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations may find policing an ideal career choice.

Although many graduates enter police service, this qualification opens doors to diverse career options. Potential paths include working with border security agencies, the judicial system, correctional services, as well as positions in local government and organizations focused on housing support, victim assistance, or addiction recovery programs.
