Demographics, human mobility, disputes, progress, transnational offenses, wellbeing, and longevity. These represent some of the most urgent societal issues facing our era, all fundamentally tied to geography and central to our BA Geography program. You'll cultivate a global perspective, encounter diverse geographical contexts, and gain comprehensive research capabilities. The skills you acquire will be highly adaptable, with Geography graduates remaining among the most in-demand professionals, capable of excelling across numerous career fields.
From initial UK-based fieldwork in Year 1 to international research in Year 2 and practical placements in Year 3, you'll create lasting memories exploring terrains across Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The program offers flexibility to incorporate physical geography elements from our BSc Geography curriculum or transfer to the BSc program until Year 2 concludes. Additionally, you may spend a semester during Year 2 studying at affiliated institutions in Canada, the United States, or New Zealand.
