Our goal is to enhance human health and wellbeing by examining how social, behavioral, economic, cultural, and environmental factors shape health outcomes, while applying social science theories and methods.
MRCCSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit
This Unit's primary mission is to advance human health and wellbeing by investigating the impact of social, behavioral, economic, cultural, and environmental influences on health. It brings together a diverse team of social science researchers dedicated to exploring health disparities, social determinants of health, and strategies for health enhancement. Key objectives involve:
analyzing the interconnected biological, social, behavioral, economic, cultural, and environmental factors affecting physical and mental health across the lifespan
identifying mechanisms that can alter these processes to enhance public health in an evolving world
designing and assessing interventions that leverage these mechanisms to promote public health and reduce health inequities
shaping policy and practice by sharing research findings with diverse stakeholders

Awarded or expected First-class or high Upper Second-class Bachelors degree.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic and Academic Online (not General Training): 6.5 with no subtests under 6.0
