A management PhD is an intensive research-focused degree designed for academically accomplished students. This doctoral program prepares future scholars in Management for roles across academia, industry, and government sectors.
Our curriculum blends comprehensive research instruction with hands-on application, offering flexibility with a duration of three to five years. Starting with core research methodology training, you'll pursue specialized pathways in both qualitative and quantitative approaches while receiving thorough skill development. As a doctoral candidate, you'll become an integral part of our research network, with opportunities to collaborate with peers, publish findings, and participate in academic events including seminars, workshops, conferences, and training retreats.
Admission pathways vary based on your qualifications, experience, and research proposal quality. You may enroll directly in the PhD program or begin with our MRes in Management. Direct PhD entrants must complete two mandatory research training courses in their first year and are expected to finish within three years, immediately implementing their research proposal. Entry requirements include a Master's in business or management with Merit or 60%+ grades, including relevant research methods coursework, plus an exceptional research proposal capable of securing dual supervision. Progression depends on successful course completion and satisfactory research advancement during the first year.
